Drop-through rotary valves with squared or round inlet are composed of a tubular body in cast iron or stainless steel, an horizontal rotor with 8 V sections, a drive unit and a cover on drive unit opposite side.
Use function
Drop-through rotary valves, conceived according to a maximum universal application criteria, are used for controlled feeding or discharge of powder or granular products from two areas with a different pressure value like silos, hoppers, pneumatic conveying plants, bag filters, cyclons.
Performance and technical features – Advantages
- Capacities from 2 to 20 lt/rev
- Different drive unit types for different rotation speed
- Max pressure delta 0.3 bar.
- Various accessories and treatments to best meet Customer’s application needs
- Robust and compact construction
- Easy access to internal mechanical components
Options and accessories
- ATEX version available
- Body in cast iron or in AISI 304/316
- Chromium plating, nickel plating or superficial PTFE coating
- Scrapers in various materials in order to improve sealing and reduce abrasion
- Rotor partialising elements for sticking products treatment or to reduce feeding rate
- Lubrified or air/gas purged sealings
- Drive units: direct coupling with motorgearbox, with motovariator, coaxial with chain transmission or without drive unit
- Rotation indicator
- Motor fan cooling
- Thermistors for motor
Blow-through rotary valves for pneumatic conveying are composed of a tubular body in cast iron or stainless steel, an horizontal rotor with V sections and inclined paddles, a drive unit and two side covers.
Use function
Two sections at a time are filled with product through the top inlet. After less than half a revolution, the rotor is dropping the product into the current generated by compressed air flowing through the lower part of the valve, flanged at both ends to pneumatic conveying piping line.
Performance and technical features – Advantages
- Capacity (lt/rev) : 5, 9, 14, 20 and 38.
- Robust and compact construction
- Rotor: integral with open sides, with beveled blades, optional scrapers
- Rotor fixed speed: 10, 20, 30 rpm
- Rotor variable speed: 4÷22 rpm
- Rotor surface treatments: nickel plating, teflon plating, hardened blades
- Body: cast iron or stainless steel AISI 304 / 316
- Body surface treatments: chrome plating, nickel plating, teflon plating
- Easy access to internal mechanical components
Options and accessories
- ATEX version available
- Sealings: lubrified, air/gas purged or for high temperatures
- Rotor partialisation
